This page describes how to manage the institutional site of Molecular Medicine SpA (reachable from the domain names,,, and www.molmedgmp. it, hereinafter referred to as "MolMed domains") with reference to the processing of personal data of users who consult it.

This is an information that is also provided pursuant to art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") to those who interact with the MolMed web services, which are accessible electronically from the MolMed domains and have no value for external sites, even if they are visited from links present on the institutional website.

The consultation of the institutional site of Molecular Medicine SpA (" MolMed") may involve the processing of data relating to identified or identifiable persons. 
The registration to the institutional site and the subscription of online services give rise to processing of personal data relating to individuals.

MolMed has appointed a Data Protection Officer ("DPO") contacted at: for any information concerning the processing of personal data, including the list of data processors.

2. Responsible for processing

Responsible for processing, pursuant to art. 28 of the GDPR, the company Digital Distillery Srl has been designated, having its registered office in Via Riviera n. 39, 27100 Pavia, as responsible for the technological maintenance of the MolMed corporate website.

3. Place of data processing

The treatments relating to the MolMed institutional website services take place mainly at the MolMed offices. They are carried out by personnel identified and expressly authorized according to the specific purposes of the services requested and signed. 
For the treatments in question, MolMed can avail itself of the help of external companies, consultants, consortia, software suppliers and operating services, through identified and appointed personnel, within the scope of the intended purposes and in order to guarantee the maximum security and confidentiality of the data. In particular, in case of need, the data related to the newsletter service can be processed by the staff of the company that takes care of the maintenance of the technological part of the site, Digital Distillery Srl (responsible for the treatment).

4. Typology of the data processed by MolMed

Navigation data

The computer systems aimed at the correct use of the MolMed website acquire, during normal browsing, some data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. 
This information is used to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the portal and to check its correct functioning and are not associated with identified users; however, by their nature and through associations with data held by third parties, they could allow identification of data subjects.This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the site, the addresses in the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) notation of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (success, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and the user's computer environment. 
These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its correct functioning and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in case of hypothetical IT crimes to the detriment of the site: apart from this possibility, the data on web contacts are automatically deleted after 6 months.

Data provided voluntarily by the user in using online services

For the use of online services that provide for the authentication, registration or sending of e-mail personal data are used freely provided by users in different ways:

  • Newsletter : by registering for the newsletter, the user's email address is automatically added to a list of contacts to which email messages containing the press releases related to MolMed can be transmitted. Specifically, the personal data collected are the e-mail address and the name of the user. The sending is done via the external MailChimp platform. At any time you can decide to oppose the sending of press releases or you can unsubscribe from the newsletter.

MailChimp is an address management and email message service provided by The Rocket Science Group, LLC. The data are processed in the US.The Rocket Science Group LLC, owner of MailChimp, adheres to the Privacy Shields, the agreement that regulates the transfer of data between the European Union and the USA. This is the privacy statement ( of MailChimp.

  • Contact form : the user, by filling out the contact form with his own data, consents to their use to respond to requests for information. Specifically, the personal data collected are the name and surname, the e-mail address, the telephone number, the company name of the user's company and the latter's website.

Cookies and statistical data

The services contained in this section allow the Data Controller to monitor and analyze traffic data and are used to keep track of user behavior. The MolMed site uses the following types of cookies:

  • Google Analytics with anonymized IP : Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. Google uses personal data collected for the purpose of tracking and examining the use of MolMed domains, compiling reports and sharing them with other services developed by Google. 
    Google may use personal data to contextualise and personalize the advertisements of its advertising network.

  • Own session cookies : The use of cd session cookies (which are not stored permanently on the user's computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the servers) necessary to allow the safe and efficient exploration of the site. The so-called session cookies used on this site avoid the use of other technologies that could compromise the privacy of users' browsing and do not allow the acquisition of personal identification data.

You can refuse consent to the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser: unauthenticated navigation on the MolMed site will still be available in all its functions.

Alternatively, you can only disable Google Analytics cookies, using the opt-out add -in provided by Google for the main browsers. In this way it will be possible to use the MolMed online services normally.

5. Purpose and legal basis

The personal data provided through will be processed by MolMed for the following purposes:

  1. execution of a contract of which it is part or for the execution of pre-contractual measures adopted at the request of the interested party (eg: contact request via the Contact form);

  2. management of the newsletter subscription for sending the company's press releases;

  3. statistical research / analysis on aggregated or anonymous data, without therefore user identification, aimed at measuring the functioning of the Site, measuring traffic and evaluating usability and interest;

  4. fulfillment of a legal obligation to which MolMed is subject;

  5. verification, exercise or defense of a right in court or whenever the jurisdictional authorities exercise their jurisdictional duties;

The legal basis of the processing of personal data for the purposes referred to in point i) is the provision of a service or the response to a request that does not require consent under the GDPR.

For the purposes referred to in point ii) the processing is based on the express consent of the user in the act of subscription to the newsletter, confirmed with a subsequent email. We remind you that it is possible to revoke the consent here expressed at any time, by means of a written communication to the above addresses. This does not prejudice the lawfulness of the treatment based on the consent given before the revocation. We invite you to promptly communicate any changes in the data communicated.

The purpose referred to in point iii) does not involve the processing of personal data.

The purposes referred to in points iv) and v) represents a legitimate processing of Personal Data under the Applicable Regulations as, once the personal data have been transferred, processing is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation or to exercise the right of defense in court.

6. Optional nature of the provision of personal data

The provision of personal data is optional, but failure to provide it could make it impossible to find a request made by the user or signing the newsletter.

7. Methods of processing

The data collected will be kept for the time strictly necessary for their treatment and in any case no later than the deadline established by the current legislation and the recommendations of the Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data. 
The data will be stored on servers located in Europe. 
We inform you that such data will be collected, processed and stored in full compliance with the provisions of articles 31 and following of the Code and the Technical Regulations - Annex B to the Code - regarding security measures.

8. Data retention

MolMed will process personal data from the interested party for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes indicated above. 
Personal data for sending the newsletter will be processed until the user decides to unsubscribe from the service. 
Without prejudice to this, MolMed will process the personal data of data subjects up to the time allowed by law to protect its interests (Article 2947.c.c).

9. Rights of the interested parties

Within the limits of the GDPR, the interested party has the right to ask MolMed, at any time, to access their personal data, to rectify or cancel them or to oppose their treatment, the limitation of processing and to obtain a structured format, in common use and readable by automatic device data concerning him.

Pursuant to Applicable Regulations, the interested party has, in any case, the right to propose a complaint to the competent supervisory authority (Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data) if he / she considers that the processing of his / her personal data is contrary to the law in force.

10. Further information on treatment

Defense in court

The personal data of the user can be used for the defense by the Owner in court or in the stages of its establishment, in case of abuse in the use of sites hosted on the MolMed domains or related services by the user. 
The user declares to be aware that the Data Controller may be required to disclose the data at the request of the public authorities.

Changes to this privacy policy

The Data Controller reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by giving publicity to users on this page. Please therefore consult this page often, referring to the date of the last modification indicated at the bottom. In case of non-acceptance of the changes made to this privacy policy, the user is required to cease using the sites hosted on the MolMed domains, being able to request the Data Controller to remove their personal data. Unless otherwise specified, the previous privacy policy will continue to apply to personal data collected until then.
