MolMed’s patent strategy is designed to protect its products, their distinguishing technologies, their methods of use, and, where applicable, their manufacturing processes. Protection of products, technologies and processes is pursued either by patent filing or by industrial secret protection.

As of 25 March 2010, MolMed’s portfolio of patents and patent applications - either owned or in-licensed - includes 27 patent families, composed of  92 granted patents and 79 pending applications.

Intellectual Property Policy


MolMed intensely pursues the protection of its intellectual property and actively seeks to protect its inventions through patents, where appropriate, on a worldwide basis.

MolMed appointed a Director for the management of its intellectual property interests, in charge of identifying the best patent strategies for the protection of the Company’s intellectual property, with the assistance of Molmed’s patent consultants. MolMed also plans and manages the optimisation of the protection of intellectual property rights other than through patents. In this regard, MolMed holds various trademarks, and has also developed internal policies designed to afford the utmost privacy and confidentiality in respect of the know-how and industrial secrets developed in the course of its activities.
